HIL600
Thursday, 18. August 2016 - 12:00

A new partnership has been established between the industrial electronics laboratory (Industrial electronics and drives group) of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis and the company Typhoon HIL, Inc.. To assist the Institute of Systems Engineering with different AR&E projects, namely the GlobalDiagnostiX project, Typhoon HIL, Inc. has made available a device for the real-time simulation of power electronic circuits.

This device (HIL600), designed for hardware-in-the-loop simulations, is used to study, virtually test, validate and optimise the control of power converters before their implementation in a real system. These tests offer industry partners the guarantee that the system will function properly. In addition, further studies and improvements can be made without complex experimental devices.

All results of the tests carried out by the HES-SO Valais-Wallis are forwarded to Typhoon HIL, Inc. which enables them to continuously improve their hardware-in-the-loop simulation system.
