On Friday 13th of April, Valentino Piana, a researcher from the Institute of Information Systems HES-SO Valais-Wallis, has spoken at "Green Mobility  - Towards the Electric and Safe Mobility Estates General" - an event bringing together scholars, practictioners, business and public authorities of Italy. More than 250 participants have listened to and interacted with representatives from the Ministry of the Environment, energy utilities like Enel and Axpo, car manufacturers like BMW, Volkswagen and Tesla, car-sharing and public transport companies, system suppliers as ABB, radical innovators like Ujet and Greenspider.

Valentino Piana has done also the presentation of the book "Green Mobility: How to change city and life", which he co-wrote (available here in print and as e-book). The main chapter he wrote is about "National scenarios of accelerated decarbonisation of mobility and transport". At HES-SO Valais-Wallis is working on an agent-based model about the future evolution of mobility, under the leadership of Prof. René Schumann.

In his speech, Valentino Piana presented HES-SO Valais-Wallis and its cutting-edge work on sustainable business models for zero-carbon mobility solutions, including the Mobility Lab, the experience of Smart Shuttles in Sion, and the autonomous delivery vehicles of TeleRetail.
