Inbound Mobility

Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the HES-SO Valais-Wallis is a university of applied sciences and arts where languages and cultures converge. Its five schools offer the following Bachelor's degree programmes:

Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Tourism
Energie and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Communication Systems, Systems Engineering, Life Sciences Engineering
Physiotherapy, Nursing Science
Social Work

Depending on your field of study, you can complete a semester of study, your practical training or your Bachelor's thesis at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis. During this time, you will remain enrolled at your home university.

Students who meet the criteria will receive a grant to help finance their exchange programme.

International exchanges

Academic semester

To complete a semester of study at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, the following conditions must be met:

Interinstitutional agreement	An agreement must exist between your school and the HES-SO Valais-Wallis in your field of study.
Nomination	Your school must confirm your nomination by email by the date specified.	Autumn semester: 15 April Spring semester: 15 October
Minimum duration	30 days (from outside Europe) 60 days (Europe)
CEFR level	We recommend a B2 level (CEFR) in the chosen language of instruction.
Application	Please send us your CV and an official transcript of records. Additional documents may be required depending on the degree programme.	Autumn semester: 15 May Spring semester: 15 November

Practical training

To complete practical training at one of the partner institutions of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, the following conditions must be met:

Bachelor's thesis

To complete a research internship at one of our institutes, the following conditions must be met:

Application	Please e-mail us your CV and a cover letter describing the subject of your research.	Autumn semester: 15 May Spring semester: 15 November

Funding

Students who meet the below criteria will receive a grant to help finance their exchange programme. 80% of the grant is paid on the student's arrival, and the remaining 20% at the end of their stay once the final documents have been submitted. The amounts are as follows:
