On July the 21st, 2017, at the Alpage Cottier in Zinal, the Parc aux étoiles will be inaugurated during the Val d'Anniviers Open Air Insolite Event. For this purpose, public lighting in Zinal will be switched off by 9 pm in order to allow visitors to take advantage of this unique moment of darkness and admire the stars.
This event will be presented by Mr. Stéphane Genoud, HES-SO Professor specialist in energy issues, and Mr. Michael Cottier, organizer of the Saint-Luc Observatory, to discover our stellar environment. This event will also demonstrate the effects of neighbouring light pollution.
