Prof Dr. Rudolf Schmitt receives the Werder prize« Back
Each year, the Prof. J. Werder Foundation awards the price for the food quality and safety and the Werder medal to an prominent figure in the field of education. This year, Prof. Dr. Rudolf Schmitt was distinguished for the services rendered throughout his career. He largely contributed to the transmission of knowledge and the establishment of food safety in the sector of food production in Switzerland and abroad. During many years, he was member of various societies such as the Swiss society of food hygiene (SSHDA).
