The  first International Workshop on Real-Time Multi-Agent Systems (RTcMAS), organized by Davide Calvaresi  (HES-SO Valais-Wallis), Aldo F. Dragoni (UNIVPM) et Giorgio Buttazzo (SSSA), has been accepted in the extremely competitive scenarios of the Federated AI Meeting (FAIM).

RTcMAS 2018 will take place on July 14, in Stockholm (Sweden) co-held with AAMAS, ECAI, IJCAI, ICML, ICCBR, and SoCS.

Since Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications became mature, there has been growing interest in applying them into real complex equipments, especially in order to implement “Cyber-Physical Systems” (CPS). Unfortunately, most AI algorithms are characterized by unpredictable or high-variance performances, making them almost unusable for real-time control under hard deadlines.

Therefore, RTcMAS aims at gathering contributions from both theoretical and pragmatic perspectives, targeting the employment of MAS in IoT and CPS through the exploitation of methodologies, algorithms, and technologies from the Real Time Community.
