eEnergy

eEnergy refers to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to facilitate the energy transition. Smart buildings, smart cities and smart grids use different devices such as the web of things and smart metering that need to communicate with each other. They also produce data that needs to be managed and analysed wisely (big data) in order to be able to make the right decisions (decision support) in view of achieving the goals of energy efficiency and security of supply.

The Institute of Information System, the Institute of Systems Engineering and the Institute Icare work together to create services, information systems and applications to contribute to the energy transition.
