The International Social Work programme, launched in summer 2021, allows ten HES-SO social work students to participate in three two-week modules offered by the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, Malmö University and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The three modules address issues such as child protection (HES-SO Valais-Wallis), social policies in Europe (Malmö University) and religious and cultural diversity (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences). The close cooperation and intensive exchanges between the three universities and their partner institutions allow for innovative curricula and teaching formats.
In mid-September, the first students successfully completed the International Social Work programme. The students not only deepened their knowledge in three core topics of social work, but also improved their English skills and their intercultural skills and broadened their international professional network. The visits of social work institutions and the lectures in Switzerland, Sweden and Germany expanded the students' professional knowledge and enabled a lively and intensive exchange in an international perspective.
Applications for the third round of the programme are now open.
