After the success of the first edition, the Institute of Information Systems HES-SO Valais-Wallis will organize the 2nd international workshop on the Blockchain adapted to multi-agent systems (BCT4MAS). The latter is co-organized by Davide Calvaresi, Alevtina Dubovitskaya, Michael Schumacher (Institut Informatique de gestion, HES-SO Valais-Wallis), Andrea Omicini (University of Bologna), and Sooyoung Park (Sogang University).

BCT4MAS will be held in parallel with the 17th International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (PAAMS 2019) on 26-28 June 2019 in Avila, Spain.

MAS (Multi-agent system) are composed of coupled and interconnected elements (agents) capable of solving complex problems by interacting with each other through computer models. Modern MAS are increasingly processing sensitive data. Therefore, the security of identities, transactions and trust must be strengthened.

BCT (Blockchain Technology) is a distributed ledger technology (P2P) providing shared, immutable, transparent and append-only registries of given values characterizing a given network.

The combination of these two technologies (BCT and MAS) can be a win-win solution, attracting both theoretical and practical scientific contributions.
