Territorial exploration workshop

During April 2022, within the framework of the Interreg RiCoNET project Territorial Regeneration and Cooperation for Cross-Border Governance, a territorial exploration workshop was organized by the Institute of Tourism in the municipalities of Riddes and Isérables, in collaboration with the Swiss partners of the project (Riddes, Isérables, the Cantonal Service of Territorial Development) and the Italian partners (the Università del Piemonte Orientale, the municipality of Biella and the IUSEFOR).

The workshop was attended by some students of the Event Management option of the Bachelor in Tourism program who, guided by the two Swiss project leaders, Anne-Sophie Fioretto and Cristina Saviozzi, visited the sites to be regenerated. The students were invited to reflect on a common model for the creation and planning of events that can bring benefits to these territories, promote their image and identity, stimulate and/or accelerate the process of urban regeneration to create added value and economic development.

The reflection continues until the end of May and will be presented at a workshop to be held in Biella, Italy.

The objective is to provide concrete ideas for the organization of events that take into account the goals and priority objectives of the Interreg project, ensuring "respect" of the communities in which they could be organized.
