New milestone for ContextVision & HES-SO Valais-Wallis: Demonstration of a new search tool for digital pathology

ContextVision, a Swedish company specialising in image analysis and artificial intelligence and its research partner, the Institute of Information Systems HES-SO Valais-Wallis, presented the first results of their new medical image analysis tool. The research tool is one of the products of the SLDESUTO-BOX research project, initiated in 2015. This project has received funding from the Eurostars-2 Joint Program with co-funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

Presentation at the 4th Digital Pathology Congress, November 30 to December 1 2017, London

Manfredo Atzori, senior researcher at the Institute of Information Systems in Sierre, gave a demonstration of the project to more than 400 participants at the 4th Digital Pathology Congress, which took place at the beginning of December in London.

Shorten and improve the diagnostic process

This new tool is designed to help pathologists browse, search and retrieve images from large databases of digital images to identify similar cases and thereby facilitate and shorten the diagnostic process.
