2023 Edition: Thursday, November 02 (17:00 - 22:30)   

The concept

The Long Night of Careers is a careers night organised by the Careers Centres of various Swiss universities of applied sciences and a few other universities (www.lnoc.ch). This event gives bachelor's, master's and PhD students the opportunity to spend an entire evening thinking about their professional futures. It is an opportunity to gather ideas, meet professionals in an informal setting, network and hone job hunting skills in a fun and enjoyable space.

There is a varied, interactive programme, including workshops on employment-related topics and professional activities, speed mentoring, information stands, a pitching challenge and more. The event is usually held in November.

Why should you take part?

• You will be supporting future graduates in planning their careers and building their professional networks.
• You will have the opportunity to network with students and other attendees such as mentors and professors.
• You can get to know a diverse group of students, each of whom has a unique skill set and personality.

And last but not least...

Approximately 150 students, alumnae, alumni, mentors and experts gather for the Long Night of Careers each year. In 2019, the event was held face-to-face, in 2020 it was online and in 2021 it was face-to-face once again.

Edition 2023 -  Septembre 22nd 

The concept

Silicon Valais is an annual event that can be summarised in a few points:

• Presentation of the Bachelor's work of the students of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis Business Information Technology degree programme.
• Networking with IT companies and start-ups.
• Meeting between alumni (all holders of a diploma/bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology who have completed their training at the HES-SO Valais Wallis, or at the HEVs, or at the ESIS).
• Conferences and demonstrations of the latest technologies

Why should you take part?

Several advantages: 

• Logo in the various press releases : posters, flyer, website and social networks
• Mention of your company in the various mailings (over 1'000 alumni + students)
• Mention of your company in the registration forms 
• Logo in the introduction and at the end of the conferences
• Participation in the aperitif dinner

And last but not least...

 Through this event, we wish to enhance the value of the training and create strong and lasting links with professionals. This event has already fostered numerous meetings between students, researchers, entrepreneurs, professors and professionals in the sector.

Networking evenings that involve meetings, discussions and interviews between students and professionals in an informal setting.

The Energy Forum Valais/Wallis is a platform for discussion and exchange on energy issues. It offers the population and representatives of the political, administrative, economic and scientific world opportunities to exchange opinions and network.

Edition 2023:  week of 18 to 22 September

Concept

This week is built around a wide variety of activities to offer a great immersion to the students of the Tourism degree programme: courses, workshops, conferences, and even public events are offered. This is simply to deepen the aspects of sustainability and responsible management and also to decipher the new trends in sustainable tourism.

Does your company or association have a positive impact on its ecosystem, be it social, environmental or economic? This would be an opportunity to present your know-how or your projects from a sustainable development perspective.

Edition 2024 : 06. March in Beaulieu, Lausanne

The concept

The University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland has been organising the HES-SO Forum since 2020. This event is the HES-SO's career event: a unique opportunity to meet more than 1,000 students from the Economy and Services and Engineering and Architecture fields who are looking for a future employer.

Why should you take part?

You will have the opportunity to develop a close relationship with students and to position yourself as a potential employer. The HES-SO universities are making sure that students are well prepared for the event. Well-prepared and well-informed, they will be ready∙es to approach you and able to hold a professional discussion with you.
