This week is built around a wide variety of activities to offer a great immersion to the students of the Tourism degree programme: courses, workshops, conferences, and even public events are offered. This is simply to deepen the aspects of sustainability and responsible management and also to decipher the new trends in sustainable tourism.

Does your company or association have a positive impact on its ecosystem, be it social, environmental or economic? This would be an opportunity to present your know-how or your projects from a sustainable development perspective. The week ends with a public conference you could also attend : «Towards regenarative tourism».

The Long Night of Careers is a career night organised by the Careers Centres of various Swiss universities of applied sciences and a few other universities (www.lnoc.ch). This event gives bachelor's, master's and PhD students the opportunity to spend an entire evening thinking about their professional futures. It is an opportunity to gather ideas, meet professionals in an informal setting, network and hone job hunting skills in a fun and enjoyable space.
There is a varied, interactive programme, including workshops on employment-related topics and professional activities, speed mentoring, information stands, a pitching challenge and more. The event is usually held in November.

Approximately 150 students, alumnae, alumni, mentors and experts gather each year for the Long Night of Careers since 2019.

A minimum of 3 meetings is organized by the Career Design Center between a mentor (professional) and one or more students from the HES-SO Valais-Wallis. This is an opportunity for the professional to pass on their knowledge and experience to a student starting out in the professional world. At the same time, students can benefit from flexible, personalized support from professionals to help them make the leap into the professional world.
