Rebecca Jung obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Freiburg in Germany, in sociology as major, psychology and public law as minors. At the School of Social Work in Sierre/Siders, her research activities cover the areas of child protection, the provision of non-monetary services for families and language courses for people with a migrant background. At the FHNW School of Education in Switzerland, she gave seminars on topics referring to the sociology of education, such as the institutionalisation of education, educational inequalities, educational trajectories and life course. Rebecca is currently developing a research question for a dissertation project linked to the research project "The impact of standardized tools on child protection assessment", funded between 01.03.2017 and 31.12.2021 by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF, project funding number 169445)
