Hes-so Valais


Roger Hilfiker studied physiotherapy in Leukerbad (1990-1994) and received a Master in Physiotherapy Sciences in 2005 (Zürich/Maastricht). He is a part time PhD student since 2010 at the Bern University (Graduate School for Health Sciences, Instiute of Social and Preventive Medicine). After working for ten years as a physiotherapist in hospitals, privat practices and in a rehabilitation clinic, he joined the HES-SO Valais-Wallis in late 2003. He worked two years at the Swiss Paraplegic Research in Nottwil (2007-2008) and one year at the University of Applied Sciences Bern (Health). In 2010 he come back to the HES-SO Valais-Wallis. He was responsible for the Health Research unit in the Institute Health from 2014 to September 2015. Main research activities are meta-analyses, data analyses and clinicial epidemiology, mainly in the domain of rehabilitation, ageing and physiotherapy.
