Institute of Social Work

The Institute of Social Work (ITS) coordinates the research activities of the School of Social Work in the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland HES-SO Valais-Wallis. Its research areas cover the field of social work and related themes.

Located on the French and German language border, the institute aims to bridge the discourses and scientific traditions of both languages.

The institute aims to support institutions, professionals and authorities in the analysis and evaluation of social issues at local, national, and international levels.
