Societal interactions are heavily impacted by the integration of mature and innovative technologies, such as:

• The use of mobile devices anytime, anywhere: 7.7 billion people worldwide use a mobile phone in 2019, representing 93% of the world's population(https://www.bankmycell.com/blog/how-many-phones-are-in-the-world)
• The significant rise in the use of video resources: Cisco predicts that by 2020 video traffic will reach 82% of the total worldwide internet traffic (https://gblogs.cisco.com/fr/datacenter/17154/,
• The emergence of new "portable" devices: google glass, iwatches

Meanwhile new generations of students enroll in curricula at the university level:

• accustomed to questioning knowledge and information provided by the professors,
• eager to use rich media to interact with taught matters,
• used to manipulate virtual data and create their own methodological references from their personal Internet findings
• interested in participating in the construction of the learning resources
• having grasped the collaboration aspects of social networks.

Enslab intends to elaborate analytical models via prototype applications and comprehensive researches, in view of enlightening the learning methods in vogue among this new university population.

HES-SO Valais-Wallis lab

HES-SO Valais-Wallis is one of the 28 schools the HES-SO comprises. It offers several Bachelor courses, mostly focusing on business computing.

Enslab falls into the policy of e-services development which has been implemented for the last 15 years by the Computer Institute of Management of HES-SO Valais-Wallis.
