The Bachelor's degree programme in Business Information Technology combines technology and economics to provide students with the ability to analyse, develop and manage corporate information systems.
This innovative programme prepares students for the challenges of the new digital economy, including in highly specialised areas such as e-health, energy and environment, entertainment and the web.
This programme is open to candidates with no prior technical training and is suitable for all profiles: from complete novices to those who already have technical skills. Graduates will be able to develop IT applications taking into account the economic and social aspects of their organisation.

The multidisciplinary programme focuses on software development, management and communication. Important notions of programming, data implementation and optimisation, IT networks and IT security enable students to master advanced techniques (even without any prior knowledge). In addition, the programme also includes courses in management, marketing, entrepreneurship and IT project management, to give students a broad and comprehensive view of the IT management industry.
Collaborations with numerous companies and the Institute of Informatics introduce students to real-life situations through projects and ensure that the training is in line with organisations' future technological and economic needs.
The course culminates in the submission of a Bachelor's thesis, examples of which are given here, produced in collaboration with a company or the IT research institute.
As a key player in the digitised society, business IT specialists act as intermediaries between the economic and technical worlds. They analyse, design, implement, integrate and operate an organisation's information system in collaboration with the client while adapting to the cultural, economic, technological and social context. This requires a range of skills developed during the course, which are described in detail in the Skills profile.

Using role play, students learn to understand clients’ needs and to develop suitable products, while taking account of the constraints encountered in the real world of business.
Bachelor thesis
Students complete their Bachelor's thesis in collaboration with a company or institute, which simplifies their start in the professional world.
Students finish by undertaking a Bachelor's thesis, working with businesses/research institutes to facilitate their integration into the world of work. The Bachelor's degree awarded is recognised by the Confederation and legally protected. This first-cycle higher education degree is worth 180 ECTS credits.
