Banani Anuraj (Nani) comes with a rich blend of industrial and research experience under her wing. Currently she is a doctorante at HES-SO and is funded by Horizon Europe (SmartEdge). She is pursuing her PhD with KU Leuven, Belgium under the supervision of Jean-Marie Aerts (KU Leuven) and Jean-Paul Calbimonte (HES-SO).

Nani has worked in a global setting with top employers such as IBM, KU Leuven (Belgium), Singapore- MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition (Nanyang Technological University in collaboration with University of Cambridge) and has a few publications under her wing where one of it received the reputable IEEE Best Paper Award. She has led projects in cutting edge research and technologies such as autonomous vehicles, virtual reality (in collaboration with TUM), physiological sensors, ultrasound imaging and digital watermarking.

Nani holds a Masters of Science (Electrical Engineering) from NUS and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research interest includes image processing, signal processing, sensor integration and data analysis.
