Attracted to puzzle-solving from an early age, Emilie Neveu studied applied mathematics and computer engineering at ENSIMAG, followed by a PhD in the AIRSEA team (formerly MOISE) at INRIA Grenoble. There, she learned to use numerical sciences to solve complex problems. She became interested in the parameterization of the Navier-Stokes equations, adapted to ocean-atmosphere modeling, working closely with numerical ocean and atmospheric physicists.

Then, with biologists, she was able to develop algorithms for analyzing and predicting protein interactions and evolution.

In 2013, UNESCO in France dedicated a year to mathematics for planet Earth. In this context, she co-coordinated a forward-looking workshop that proposed governance and funding tools to improve research in this field.

Since 2021, she has been Data Scientist at Hydro Alps.

Since 2022, assistant professor at the Insitut Energie Environnement

And since June 2024, Head of the STREAM partnership.
