Marion Repetti has an academic background in social sciences with a specialisation in sociology and social policy. In 2015, she obtained a doctoral thesis from the University of Lausanne on the politics of old age and the social treatment of the elderly in Switzerland from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.

She also worked as a social worker in the field of social and health institutions for the care and reintegration of people suffering from addiction.
