Implementation of a multidisciplinary platform providing data intelligence services based on a range of data learning algorithms to transform multi-source information into knowledge

MDIS

MDIS wants to develop tools to provide knowledge services based on data-driven modeling. In addition, it will be a question of acquiring know-how in fields of application with high industrial potential.

The objectives are:

  • Industrial demand analysis and modeling
  • Adaptation of the software suite
  • Elaboration, testing and validation of industrial prototypes
  • Provision of a platform

These tools will be used during technology transfer projects (e.g. CTI) or as part of the training given at the HES-SO. Particular emphasis will be placed on the following areas: energy, finance, Internet logs, biomedical diagnostics and bioprocesses.

In the field of energy, it will make it possible to answer the following question, for example:

  • How can both comfort and costs be optimized in the case of automated control of the different subsystems of a building, taking into account variable user behaviours and uncertain weather predictions?

And in the medical field:

  • How to correlate biometric measurements of hundreds of patients to derive knowledge that will assist in the physician's diagnosis.

The Institut of Information Systems offers its expertise in the development of complex information systems. This will involve the implementation and operation of the Knime software suite for intelligent data analysis. This platform will also be able to connect to existing IntelIigence business software and data visualization tools.
