Media and Gender Equality

Gender-based violence is a global issue impacting millions, mainly women and marginalized communities. Media coverage can perpetuate harmful stereotypes, hindering gender equality efforts. This project integrates gender perspectives into media using AI and data analytics. It aims to develop an AI-based system analyzing reports of gender-based violence, partnering with the research institute - DécadréE to promote awareness and an inclusive society. The research questions revolve around identifying key evaluation features, employing AI techniques for categorization, and determining effective ways to influence media practices. The project's outcomes will contribute to improving media coverage and promoting gender equality.
