Biography : Lysiane Rochat is a psychologist specialized in occupational health. After a master's degree in social psychology at the University of Lausanne, she completed a doctoral thesis on the links between work organization and health at the Institut universitaire romand de santé au travail. She then worked for several years at the University Hospitals of Geneva, in the identification and prevention of psychosocial risks at work and has been collaborating since 2019 at Unisanté, where she accompanies public and private companies in their prevention and health promotion efforts.
Abstract : Stress and burnout are important issues in the workplace, as evidenced by studies that estimate that almost one in three workers feel exhausted. But in concrete terms, what is it? Who is at risk of developing burnout and how is it specific to work?
After presenting the main models of burnout, its mechanisms and warning signs, an important part of the presentation will lead us to reflect on ways to prevent this syndrome, by questioning more broadly the psychosocial risk factors to which we are exposed, particularly in the research environment. We will then explore prevention avenues at the individual, collective and organizational levels.
